A new opportunity for a Design Coordinator is available, to join a progressive main contractor where you will be based on projects within the Leeds area.

This is a development role for someone who has either had a couple of years’ experience already operating within a design coordinator position or who has worked within either a site management or architectural position where you will have had exposure to coordination in a construction environment and to the various stakeholders involved.

Therefore, they are looking for someone who would aspire to progressing to Design Manager level, and you would be joining a supportive team environment to be nurtured to successfully reach that goal.

With this business you will get good exposure to a variety of commercial contracting projects, where you will be site based to one specific project, however you maybe required to support other schemes depending on business needs, so you should have a full UK driving licence.

To be considered for this position you should fit the following criteria:

  • Hold a minimum of an HND or similar construction related qualification
  • Have had exposure to a design coordination role, ideally in a contracting environment within the build sector (although you need not be the finished article)
  • Have drive and enthusiasm to develop further
  • Hold good IT skills
  • Hold a full UK driving licence

This a rare and interesting opportunity to join a business with minimal experience, where you will be quickly exposed to the day to day demands of management contracting, whilst being supported and therefore setting you up to advance to design manager level.
